Having the goal of "making a difference in children's lives," Rudell returned to college for her BA in 1995. Even though she pursued many creative endeavors during her 30-year hiatus from college while raising her son, she wanted to teach in order to pursue this lifelong dream. Her background as an art specialist in several private schools, as well as her theatre experience, enhances her ability to evoke emotion in an endearing fashion. She has finally unleashed the "books inside her" beginning with this Just Like Brothers series.
Being a self-described "idealistic realist," her personal mantra has always been "why can't we all just get along?!" The inspiration for the Just Like Brothers series comes from her hope that people everywhere will look within themselves and reach out to others, despite differences.
Children are the message bearers of this vision. It is up to us to listen with open minds and hearts...
